What is EpiCeram?

EpiCeram Skin Barrier Emulsion represents a new steroid-free, ceramide-dominant triple lipid form of topical therapy which corrects the skin barrier abnormalities in atopic dermatitis. Intended for the management and relief of the burning and itching associated with atopic dermatitis and other dermatoses.1

EpiCeram is not only unique because of ceramide dominant ratio of the 3 key lipids of stratum corneum but also because of the very concentration of lipids including over 3% ceramides. This ratio and concentration are designed to specifically correct biochemical abnormality responsible for atopic dermatitis. This technology was developed at the University of California, San Francisco and is licensed in Canada solely to Pediapharm Inc.
